Sexual Orientation

It is illegal to discriminate against someone based on his or her sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is a protected class under Massachusetts fair housing laws and a particular area of focus for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD is now actively engaged in a historic research effort to investigate housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity for the first time.
