MFHC in Solidarity with the AAPI Community

The Mass Fair Housing Center stands with the Asian and Pacific Islander community and shares their grief and outrage at the shootings that took eight lives last week. These mass killings represent an escalation of violent attacks against our Asian and Pacific Islander friends and neighbors. According to Stop AAPI Hate, https://stopaapihate.org/reports/, there were nearly 3,800 hate incidents directed at Asian Americans in the past 12 months, and Asian American women were harmed 2.3 times more often than men.

As a fair housing organization, we promise to combat race and sex discrimination, intimidation, and violence wherever it happens. But, first and foremost, we will challenge it when it occurs at home, where we should all feel safe.

If you have experienced discrimination, harassment, or a hate crime related to your housing, please contact the Mass Fair Housing Center by phone at 413-539-9796 or through our website: massfairhousing.org.

If you have experienced any hate crime, you can also file a complaint with the Mass Attorney General’s Office, online at https://www.mass.gov/service-details/protections-against-hate-crimes, or by calling the Hate Crimes Hotline at 1-800-994-3228.
